Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone series in global markets. According to recent leaks, the company may launch the Xiaomi 17 series internationally just before Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. MWC 2026 will be held in Barcelona from March 5th to 6th, where Xiaomi is also expected to showcase its new flagship devices.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, only two models of the Xiaomi 17 series—the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra—will be launched in the global market. The Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will remain China-exclusive. The leak also claims that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition could be introduced to global markets by February 28th. This will be a special edition featuring prominent Leica branding on the phone’s back panel and frame.

Regarding the India launch, the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are expected to arrive in India in early March. This timeline aligns with previous information shared by Abhishek Yadav, who indicated March 2026 as the India launch window for the Xiaomi flagship lineup. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to launch approximately a month after these two phones.
Pricing leaks are also significant. The global starting price for the 512GB variant of the Xiaomi 17 is reportedly EUR 1,099, which is considerably higher than the CNY 4,799 price of the same model in China. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17 available in Europe is said to have a 6,330mAh battery, while the Chinese variant features a 7,000mAh battery.
It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi 17 series was launched in China in September 2025. Now, the company is planning to move towards global expansion with select models, focusing on a premium positioning.
