Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is preparing to launch the Redmi Note 15 Pro Series in India. This series will comprise two models: the Redmi Note 15 Pro and the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. Despite the similar names, both phones are designed with different users in mind.
Display and Design
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus is expected to feature a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi Note 15 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature a flat AMOLED panel of the same size, creating a clear distinction between premium and standard design.
Performance and Hardware
The Pro Plus variant is expected to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, Adreno 810 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. The Redmi Note 15 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor and Mali GPU, focusing on balanced performance.
Battery and Charging
The Note 15 Pro Plus is reported to feature a 6,500mAh battery and 100W fast charging support. The Note 15 Pro may have a slightly larger 6,580mAh battery, but charging speeds may be limited to 45W.
Camera Setup
The Pro Plus model is expected to feature a 200MP Samsung sensor (with OIS), an ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera. The Redmi Note 15 Pro is expected to have a similar rear camera setup, but could feature a 20MP selfie camera on the front.
Durability and Price
Both smartphones are expected to feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. Pricing is expected to range from Around ₹30,000 (≈ $360) for the Redmi Note 15 Pro to Around ₹37,000 (≈ $445) for the Pro Plus. Reports suggest both phones will launch in India on January 29th.
