Xiaomi and POCO have officially announced the launch of the POCO M8 5G in South Korea. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting January 26th, with pre-orders open until January 25th. It is priced at 339,900 won, which is approximately USD 250 (around ₹20,900).

The Poco M8 5G will be available on Xiaomi’s official website, Mi.com and other major online retail platforms in the country. With this launch, Xiaomi aims to strengthen its position in the budget and mid-range 5G segment in Korea.
Performance and AI Features
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, known for its smooth 5G performance. It also comes with AI features like Google Gemini and Circle to Search, making everyday tasks and searches easier.
Camera
The Poco M8 5G features a 50MP main camera on the back, while the front houses a 20MP selfie camera, useful for video calls and social media content.
Battery, Charging, and Storage
One of the phone’s key strengths is its 5,520mAh battery, which provides all-day backup. It supports 45W fast charging.
The phone comes in a single variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, which can be expanded with up to 16GB of virtual RAM and up to 1TB of storage via a microSD card.
Design, Security, and Durability
Despite the large battery, the Poco M8 5G is only 7.35mm thick and weighs 178 grams. According to Xiaomi, the phone has passed SGS drop and shock tests and features IP66 dust and water resistance, a feature rarely seen at this price point.
YouTube Premium Subscription
Users who purchase the phone between January 26th and February 8th will receive a 22.5W 10,000mAh power bank, a two-month YouTube Premium subscription, and other promotional benefits.
