Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 update, based on Android 16, has now reached its final stages. According to OTA rollout tracking and deployment data across different regions, the company has already updated approximately 95 percent of eligible smartphones and tablets to the new software. This clearly indicates that the global rollout of HyperOS 3 is almost complete.
Xiaomi began this update cycle at the end of 2025, prioritizing Chinese variants first. The Android 16-based HyperOS 3 was then gradually released to global markets.
Flagship and popular mid-range devices were updated first to ensure that the new system reached a larger number of users quickly.
Models like the Xiaomi 15 series and the Redmi Note 14 lineup were at the forefront of this rollout. The scope of the update continuously expanded, and by the beginning of 2026, hundreds of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices had already transitioned to HyperOS 3. Now, only a few devices remain in the final stages of the rollout, mostly from the budget segment or tablet category.

The fact that these devices haven’t received the update yet indicates that Xiaomi is working on the final OTA batch for HyperOS 3. The company plans to complete this entire rollout by March 2026, officially concluding the Android 16-based HyperOS transition.
If your device is still on the update list, there’s no need to worry. HyperOS 3 should reach your phone or tablet in the coming weeks via a staged OTA release.
The timing of the update will depend on your region and device variant, but certainly, this major software update from Xiaomi is now in its final stages.
