According to Xiaomi, feedback from Global Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO users is being continuously monitored. As part of this process, the company recently released a HyperOS Global optimization report, which provides detailed information about new bugs, previously identified bugs and glitches.

The Most Serious Problem: Phone Rollback After Update

The biggest and most serious issue has been observed on the Redmi Note 13 Pro and POCO M6 Pro. After installing the new HyperOS update on these devices, the phone is unable to boot correctly and automatically rolls back to the previous version.

This problem has been specifically found in this version:

  • OS2.0.211.0.VNFMIXM

Xiaomi’s investigation revealed that a modem verification error is occurring during the upgrade from Android 15 to Android 16. The root cause is corrupted modem NV data, which is mostly found in devices that:

  • Were purchased through unofficial channels
  • Are using a modified or altered Global ROM

The company has clearly stated that because critical system data has already been altered, it is not possible to provide a software solution for such devices.

Access Control App Crash Issue

Another major problem is related to the Access Control system app. This app is constantly crashing, resulting in a system error. This issue has been observed on these devices:

  • Redmi Note 13 Pro
  • Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G
  • POCO M6 Pro

Affected versions are:

  • OS2.0.209.0.VNOMIXM and
  • OS2.0.211.0.VNFMIXM

Xiaomi has stated that the investigation into this problem is ongoing and the company is working with Google to resolve it.

Good News: Several Bugs Already Fixed

Amidst the negative news, there’s a silver lining: Xiaomi has identified several critical issues in HyperOS Global builds and confirmed that fixes will be included in upcoming updates.

These include:

  • Black screen issue when using Game Turbo (affecting multiple models)
  • Clarity issues in photos taken with the main camera of the Xiaomi 15
  • YouTube interface display error on the Xiaomi Pad 7
  • System slowdowns or freezes on the Redmi Note 14 5G and POCO M7 Pro 5G
  • Redmi Note 13 randomly rebooting
  • No sound from the speaker on the Redmi Pad 2

What Does This Mean for Users?

One thing is clear from this update report: HyperOS Global is currently in a stabilization phase, especially during the Android 16 transition. Xiaomi is now more openly acknowledging bugs, explaining their causes, and providing fixes where possible.

However, the company has also made it clear that support will be limited for devices running modified or unofficial ROMs.

Final Thoughts

While the HyperOS Global update may have brought some headaches for certain users, Xiaomi’s transparency and detailed explanations show that the company is working towards fixing issues rather than hiding them. If your device is running official software, you can expect a more stable experience with future updates.
