Xiaomi has officially entered the Ultra-Slim MagSafe-style Power Bank segment, further expanding its accessory portfolio. The new UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank is specifically designed for users who want a lightweight, thin, and premium charging solution for slim smartphones like the iPhone. This power bank prioritises design, magnetic charging, and portability without compromising on performance.

Xiaomi Launches UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank With 6mm Design and MagSafe-Style Charging

MagSafe-Style Experience with a 6mm Ultra-Slim Design

The most striking feature of the UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank is its thickness of just 6mm, making it one of the thinnest magnetic power banks currently available. This thickness is very close to that of many ultra-slim smartphones, ensuring it doesn’t feel bulky or protrude when attached to the back of the phone. This design is even more compact compared to Xiaomi’s previous Super Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000 (8.7mm).

The body uses aluminium alloy, which not only provides durability but also a premium metallic finish. The part that comes into contact with the smartphone is covered with fire-resistant fibreglass material to protect the phone’s surface from damage. Thanks to the strong magnetic attachment, the power bank securely attaches to the back of several compatible smartphones, including iPhones, and stays firmly in place during charging.

Magnetic Charging Support for iPhone Users

This power bank supports MagSafe-style magnetic charging. For iPhone models, the wireless charging speed is limited to 7.5W, which is in line with the current MagSafe standard. Additionally, it supports 15W wireless charging for compatible Xiaomi devices.

For users who want faster charging, a USB-C port is also included, enabling 22.5W wired charging. This means that users can utilise both wireless charging and fast wired charging options.

5,000mAh Battery in a Compact Size

The UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank features a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This battery technology is known for its high energy density, providing good capacity in a small space. According to Xiaomi, this capacity is sufficient to fully charge a smartphone at least once under normal use, making it practical for everyday use.

Special Attention to Safety and Thermal Management

Heat control is a major challenge in thin and compact power banks. Keeping this in mind, Xiaomi has included a total of 10 safety protection layers in this device. It also features two NTC temperature sensors that continuously monitor the temperature during charging and prevent overheating. This feature helps ensure safe use over extended periods.

Easy-to-Use Design and Status Indication

The power bank has four LED indicators that display the battery level. A separate power button is also included, allowing for easy control of the charging process. The design is kept simple to avoid unnecessary complexity for the user.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank has been launched in Japan, where it is priced at 7,980 yen, which is approximately 43 euros. The device is available through Amazon and Xiaomi’s official store. Currently, the company has not shared any official information regarding its launch in other markets.

Conclusion

With the UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank, Xiaomi has presented a strong contender in the ultra-slim MagSafe-style power bank segment. The 6mm thin design, magnetic charging support, silicon-carbon battery, and comprehensive safety features make it attractive to users looking for a lightweight, premium, and reliable charging accessory for their iPhone or other compatible smartphones.
