Xiaomi has expanded its smart wearable portfolio with the introduction of the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses. These smart glasses were unveiled alongside the global launch of the Redmi Note 15 series. Unlike traditional earphones, this device features open-ear audio technology and is designed for everyday use.
Open-Ear Audio and Call Quality
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses feature built-in speakers and four microphones within the frame. The open-ear design allows users to listen to music or make calls while remaining aware of their surroundings. According to Xiaomi, the ultrasonic speaker system used supports wind noise reduction up to 4.5 m/s. A dedicated privacy mode is also included to minimise sound leakage.
Design, Frame Options, and Lens Support
Xiaomi is targeting these smart glasses specifically at professional and business users. They are available in three frame styles: Titanium, Pilot-Style, and Browline. All variants offer prescription lens support. The Titanium and Browline models feature blue light protection, while the Pilot-Style version offers UV400 sunglass protection. The frames and lenses are interchangeable, although they must be purchased separately.
Battery and Charging
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are equipped with dual 114mAh batteries. This provides up to 13 hours of music playback and approximately 24 hours of general use. Notably, just 10 minutes of fast charging can provide up to 4 hours of playback.
Smart Features and App Support
These glasses can be controlled via the Xiaomi Glasses app. The app offers gesture customisation, a voice assistant, a find-my-glasses feature, recording capabilities (with an LED privacy indicator), and dual-device connectivity between phones and laptops. Additionally, it features temple touch controls and IP54 dust and splash resistance.
Price and Availability
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses start at EUR 179 (roughly $195 USD), while the Titanium variant starts at EUR 199 (roughly $217 USD). These smart glasses are currently available for purchase in select countries.
